Tasker Intro

SharpTools comes with Tasker integration out of the box and Tasker should automatically recognize the new plugins when Tasker and SharpTools are both installed.

Tasker Introduction/Refresher

If you aren't familiar with how Tasker works, I would recommend a quick Google search to catch up on the ins-and-outs of Tasker as it can seem overwhelming for the uninitiated. The official Tasker userguide is a bit overwhelming, so you might be better off reading a light introduction like the one from Pocketables.

As a quick refresher, Tasker has Profiles which include the Context upon which to trigger as well as the Task to run. The context can be triggered based on an App running, Day/Time, an Event, a Location, or a State. For the purposes of this tutorial, the details of each of these contexts are out of scope so please refer to the guides mentioned above. Just know that when a context is met/active, the associated task will run. For example, if the context was set to time=10:00 PM (event based) and location=home, then the associated task would only run when the user was at home and it was 10:00 PM. There are other great context plugins available like AutoLocation, AutoVoice, and AutoRemote -- all part of the AutoApps suite of products.
